How to Take Care of Your Newborn Baby

Before coming home with your newborn baby, I’m quite sure that you have well prepared all necessary items for your newborn baby, otherwise, there is no time anymore because your newborn baby has to adjust to the new environment at home and he/she needs your help all the time.

Once arriving home, you may feel nervous and worried about taking care of your newborn baby.  Take it easy!  If you know about the nature of newborn babies, I believe that you can do it well finally.  Let’s see how!

Actually, most newborn babies sleep for up to 16 hours per day and they need to eat every 2 – 3 hours.  If breast feeding, your newborn baby will sleep for 2-3 hours at a time and for bottle feeding, he will sleep longer time.  I suggest you take a note about his/her sleeping time and the quantity of milk (in case of bottle feeding) for good health.

Whenever your newborn baby cries, you have to check whether he/she is hungry, too cold, too hot, he has a wet diaper, or something else.  Or maybe, he/she just wants you to hold him/her gently in a chair or sing lullaby songs for him/her.

For your newborn baby’s healthy, I think you should take him/her to the park once a day or taking him/her sometimes in your car.

To keep your newborn baby entertained, you may play some music or buy some toys for him/her such as rattles or musical toys, etc.

Although taking care of your newborn baby, who is very tiny and fragile, is a very hard task and you sometimes feel stressed and tired, I believe that when seeing your newborn baby’s vividly smile, happy eyes, you shall forget all fatigue and enjoy holding him/her, kissing him/her and sharing the happy time together with him/her as well.
