Tips on Helping Your Baby's Development : Sight and Touch

The significant development of your baby ages 6 months that you should focus on is the skill on your baby’s sight and touch; hand eye catching or hand-eye coordination.  You can help your baby to expedite this development as following tips:

** Hang a baby mobile above your baby's crib:  Choose the one that can turn around with soft music and colorful plush toys.  Because watching any movement will be one of your baby's favorite activities.

** Foot finder and wrist rattle: These can encourage your baby's discovery.  The bright colors will help expedite your baby's exploration.  Besides, these will also help your baby's hand-eye coordination skill.

** Crib mirror: It will inspire your baby's vision, touch, exploration and communication and manipulation skills with high contrast colors, character faces and simple patterns and realistic forms.  The attached toys will also keep your baby's attention.

** Colored rolling rattle ball:  It will help expedite your baby's visual stimulation.  Besides, your baby will enjoy touching, catching or rolling the ball as well.

** Stacking toy:  You baby can practice sight development via the bright colors.  It will also

help your baby develop coordination as he learns to stack the easy-to-grasp rings in the proper order.  Your baby will have the time on sorting, stacking, and tasting to see if the rings really taste as good as they look.
